The Banaue Rice Terraces was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 and dubbed as the “8th Wonder of the World”. The 2,000 year-old terraces manifest the ingenuity and great engineering skill of the Ifugaos, who carved the stair-like monument by the Cordillera mountainside with their bare hands.
